Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to a vision of Christian philosophy which was elaborated by an Italian phi-losopher, Antonio Rosmini-Serbati (1797-1855). He referred to the ancient and patristic compre-hension of Christian philosophy. This reference is bound up with his own conception of philosophi-cal and theological knowledge, and conditioned by aims that he makes his philosophy to achieve. It also reflects Rosmini’s relation to these currents of philosophical knowledge that clashed Christian truths in modern times. Rosmini was a versatile erudite that excellently knew ancient philosophy, Augustianism, Thomism, and contemporary philosophy. He also had his own epistemological and metaphysical views that protected philosophical realism and made it independent from subjective or idealistic consequences.
