Summary/Abstract: The author describes a way of life of Wladyslaw Zachariasiewicz, a prominent activist of the Polish American community. He grew up in Krakow, where he also studied. Having obtained a master's degree, Zachariasiewicz became involved with the World Union of Poles Abroad - "Światpol" where he was – among others – head of the Department of Youth. In World War II, he fought in the Polish Armed Forces in the West. After the war he settled down in London, then in New York, where he was actively worked for Poland and Polonia.
