Disintegration of the family as a consequence of economic migrations of Poles after 2004

Summary/Abstract: Polish accession to the European Union in May 2004 marked the beginning of the migration of Poles to the member states. The process affected probably even up to two million people who have decided to leave temporarily or permanently Poland. The author examines the effects of this process on the Polish family, especially children, pointing particularly to the negative educational and social problems.
