Summary/Abstract: The article looks at the historical views of the different branches of the leftists over the past century and a half. As well as this, prompted by a foundational and constitutional declared interest, I attempt to show that theoretical stances of the leftists on history not only predetermined their own practice (and, were consequently influenced by it), but are also exercised in the worldwide contemporary social and cultural trends, not related to the leftist practice at all. Among them globalization, practices of the multiculturalism/ fundamentalism and identity politics should be mentioned in the first place.
