Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the presentation of the anamnetic dimension of the liturgical year in a light of the conciliar Constitution on the Liturgy Sacrosanctum Concilium and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Th e essence of the circuli anni is a real presence – in the yearly cycle of celebrations – of the entire history of salvation in mysterio. The liturgical year celebrates the presence of Christ in His particular Mystery, which is made up of different aspects, moments and salvific events. Th e anamnetic dimension touches also the celebrations in honor of the Most Holy Virgin Mary, the angels, saints and also the blessed. Equally the Mother of God, as well as the angels, Apostles, martyrs and confessors, are surrounded with a cult in the Church as a result of their extremely close connection with the Paschal Mystery of Christ.
