EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTAL TAXES ON PUBLIC REVENUES AND ECOLOGY OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

Summary/Abstract: Environmental protection is one of the main priorities of the EU, therefore, the importance of environmental taxes and the impact of these taxes on the protection of the environment is immense.The studies presented in this article accomplished primary research mission:to affirm environmental taxes for environmental protection purpose, and to explore the effects of environmental taxes in public revenues and ecology of the EU.The aim of this article is to present a model solution of environmental problems in the EU, with a simultaneous increase of public revenues through environmental taxes, what can become the foundation for environmental problems solution in Bosnia and Herzegovina..The article elaborated the most important features of environmental taxes as exclusive factors of environmental protection in the EU, as well as the perspective of the development of environmental protection.Special attention is given to the structure and types of environmental taxes, and elaborated a more thematic units on environmental taxes in the EU: energy, transportation, pollution and taxes on resources.Article represented revenue from environmental taxes and environmental effects on EU. Adduced perspectives for the development of environmental taxes in the EU.The importance of this theme is particularly evident in the country such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, where almost nobody don’t consider to resolve environmental problems.
