Summary/Abstract: The author of the article brings the reader closer to the purposes of the school subject Werken in the German speaking Swiss canton Zurich. Earlier, he outlines briefly some of the features of its scholar system. In the final part, he draws attention to some operations aimed at the career orientation of the students.
