Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article was to construct survival characteristics of several thousand businesses registered in the Malopolska voivodship’s REGON classification for the years 2002–2008. The impact of the section in which they operate and forms of legal entities on the likelihood of deregistration was investigated. The study illustrates that both factors are of great significance.
