Labor market with focus on banking sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Summary/Abstract: The objective of this paper is to show determinants of labor price under the Oligopoly market conditions, with special attention to the banking sector in B&H. We answer the question as to why the salaries of banking sector employees in B&H are among the highest in the country. The salary trends between 2000- 2006 are shown. The survey of labor force efficiency in the banking sector during six years is also presented. The paper used statistical data about the average income of B-H employees in order to make a comparative analysis of labor price in the banking sector and that in other sectors of B-H economy. Average net salaries in the B-H banking sector are considerable above the average of net salaries in B&H.
