Summary/Abstract: The goal of the paper is to summarize the analysis and comparison of modern pricing approaches ompared to traditional ones, especially emphasizing the advantages of the Value-Based Pricing strategy. The traditional pricing strategies do not make the appropriate framework for pricing. The greatest weakness of these strategies is the overlook of customers, their perceived value and expectations. The Value-Based Pricing strategy focuses on the company efforts to develop and implement a successful pricing strategy taking into account customers' needs and expectations. This pricing approach is the base for creating and maintaining the company’s competitive advantage. The new pricing approach should result in greater customer satisfaction and lead to the increase in profitability and growth of the company.
