Is the Currency Board Arrangement stimulating or holding back development of the B-H economy?

Summary/Abstract: The paper evaluates the effects of currency board arrangement in BiH. At the very beginning of the paper, a short overview of current currency board arrangements in the world will be given. Further in the text, advantages and disadvantages of currency board arrangements will be discussed. In the second part of the paper, evaluation of Central bank of B-H under currency board arrangement will be presented by using macroeconomic indicators and comparing those to the countries in the region. The analysis itself should show whether currency board arrangement has been stimulating to the B-H economy or holding it back. At the very end of this paper, a short overview of B-H financial system will be presented.
