The Chronogram on the Hammam in Novi Pazar

Summary/Abstract: This is a recently deciphered text of the inscription on the hammam in Novi Pazar. On the basis of the chronogram of the inscription it can be seen that the above-mentioned hammam was erected in 1002 A. H. (1593/1594 A. D.). It was just in that year that hafiz Ahmed-Pasha was appointed muhafiz of Bosnia, in whose time, according to tihe report of Evlya Celebi, the above-mentioned building was erected.
