The evolution of direct participation determinants in the second decade of polish economy transformation

Summary/Abstract: The level of workers’ innovation depends on their superiors’ way of management. In participative ways (consultative and democratic) subordinates take part in a decision making process (so called direct participation). The growth of participation level enlarges innovative attitudes amongst workers. This paper presents the results of our research led in two periods: 1998-2000 (305 persons) and 2009-2011 (358 persons). This research concerned determining the way of management. We observed more frequently the determinants of participative way of management in the second period. As a result it extended the direct participation of workers.
