Changes in organizational structures of polish enterprises in the context of knowledge based economy development

Summary/Abstract: Lisbon Strategy and the Development Strategy of Poland – 2020 created new opportunities for the knowledge based economy. Theoretical conception of a knowledge based enterprise assumes that the level of organizational structure flexibility is very high. The research question is if and to what extent Polish enterprises have changed their organizational structures towards the knowledge based enterprise model. The empirical research has been conducted on the group of 150 Polish enterprises. The results of this research confirmed moderate trend to knowledge based enterprise, but is still very different from the normative model.
