Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the influence of Professor G.F. Shershenevich’s ideas on the contemporary Russian insolvency law, in particular, on the regulation of the bankruptcy proceedings. The authors noted that some of the ideas of Professor G.F. Shershenevich were taken, and some not (for example, the difference in the intentional and unintentional failure, as well as requirements documents evidencing indebtedness). In general, there is a very urgent character of Professor G.F. Shershenevich’s ideas of modern Russian insolvency law.
