Summary/Abstract: The author focuses on analyzing legal measures to emphasize the role in European Union policy of the country who holds the Presidency of the Council, while not being member of the so-called Eurogroup. Existing EU law confers the right to participate in meetings of Eurogroup only on those Member States whose currency is euro. The author concludes that presiding the Council of European Union shall not constitute special right to participate in the work of the Eurogroup.
