The Benefits of Transborder Clustering as an Innovative Form of Travel – Services Development on Border Areas of South-Eastern Poland

Summary/Abstract: The paper considers the social changes and economic trends that influence tourism in to a significant extent. An analysis on clustering in Poland and the European Union has been carried out. The aim of the article was to define the benefits derived from the cooperation of the firms operating within the transborder tourist cluster based on the wide application of information and communication technologies (ICT). The analysis has made it possible to the answer the question of how the transborder tourist cluster, which employs the wide application of these ICT technologies, influences the level of competitiveness and innovativeness of tourist firms that belong to the cluster.
