Summary/Abstract: The Butrimonys dialect is described in the article which is on the frontier of southern and western regions of aukštaičiai. It is the mixing cases of the masculine noun stem declension. The material of this research is in the texts, written in 2012–2013. Great importance is attached to morphological peculiarities and to establish the main reasons why the process of the mixing stems happens. Having analised the mixing cases of the masculine noun stem declension it was discovered that the mixing happens due to the influence of more productive stems. It is a frequent phenomenon that endings of one stem take the endings of the other stem. There are some cases when both forms are used, they are called adjacent forms.
