Towards the problem of cultural affiliation of Pushkari 1

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with reflection on the diagnostic component in lithic assemblage of Pushkari 1 identical with federmesser type of arc-backed knives according to morphology. Problems of cultural affiliation of Pushkari – Klussy cultural tradition and range of theirs analogies with Kostenki sites are discussed. Increased number of similar tool types in different cultural context on distinct territories and divided by large chronological gaps cannot be explained as accidental events and needs new explicative models.
