Raw material factor in the Upper and Final Paleolithic in the Transbaikal Region

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt of preliminary synthesis of the data on mineral raw materials used in the Upper and Final Paleolithic of Transbaikalia and their impact on the shape of stone industries. As a result of the analysis of the composition of raw materials in the Upper and Final Paleolithic sites, it become possible to identify a regularity in use of certain kinds of rocks in various stages of the Stone Age in the Western Transbaikalia.
