Summary/Abstract: Even though archivists rarely use legal sanctions as a last resort to protect emerging archival records, I think it is high time that this method came into practice. Archivists should not passively watch disregarding of legislations, because implementation of the archival law is in their jurisdiction. If we continue on not insisting of use and respect of law, no one will understand us seriously. From practice we saw that the advices can not achieve everything, and if same practice continue in the future, this kind of cooperation with the records agencies will continue to harm the reputation of the Archival Advisory Service and archive work in general, archive records in emerging will not get enough attention. That is way in the future we should practice use of the provisions of the legislation, and on that way raise reputation of this very important activity and preserve archival records from deterioration. And, without insisting on legal regulations, registry offices can see hesitation of Archives to implement penalty measures and they do their job only superficially or not at all.
