What we learned in the last two years about the New Civil Code

Summary/Abstract: About two years ago, in an editorial for Judicial Courier, I was making some predictions about the road and the implications of the New Civil Code, with the enthusiasm and honesty that would allow me, after a certain period, to get back on those ideas without feeling ashamed of having thought of them. Because of the fact that about the new Civil Code a lot of things have been said, but mostly because it is quite impossible to see all about it, I have limited the commentary and the ex ante vision starting with a pseudo negative definition of the code. Now reading that editorial, I make my own evaluation and I find the evolution in practice of this act, which is the corner stone of Romanian legal system.
