Summary/Abstract: Supply of drinking water to population is one of the most important factors in the security of any country. Water treatment technology has now become a very complex and multi-faceted branch of engineering technology that involves physical, chemical and biological processes. For the solution of the problems of water treatment for drinking purposes scientific substantiation is proposed of the use of an environmentally friendly natural sorbent (glauconite) which allows effective reduction of the cost of water purification carried out by companies.
