Summary/Abstract: An analysis of the works of Bohumil Hrabal, beginning with Kouzelná flétna from January 1989, which operate in the sphere of journalism. It argues that these works continue to be experimental and are to some extent interconnected, based on the variation, mirroring, and meeting of certain themes. It seeks to demonstrate this in connection with, among things, Karl Jaspers’s concept of “ciphers.”
