The intelligentsia of the bottomlessness: Sophiology of the seascape depiction in Zhukovsky’s works

Summary/Abstract: Sophiological aspects of philosophical poetical text understanding in respect to Zhukovsky’s works are considered in the article. Three ways of sea comprehension are noticed: psychological, cosmogonical and eschatological. Culturological and semiotical archetypes of sophiological seascape depiction are disclosed with the help of a wide range of literature involved. The basic paradigm of “the phenomenon of the sea” comprehension is the Christian world-view.
