Summary/Abstract: The article examines the role of Russian entrepreneurs in the making of the sociocultural space of Russia in the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries. The authors note the contribution of the Russian entrepreneurs in the process of cultural space making, including numerous cultural programs and projects, development of the cultural and artistic centres, forming of art collections and opening of the museums.
