Summary/Abstract: The author is interested in the ways in which memories of PRL are treated in Polish contemporary art. In examining artistic expressions, she traces individual collections of reminiscences of PRL, that are the source of pleasure. She considers the souvenirs of PRL to be reminiscences of artists’ personal experiences, nostalgia for history, a kind of simulacrum of the past.
