Developing Research Skills in History Classes

Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the development of academic research skills in students through the study of History – helping them become young scholars. Learning through research helps achieve a better understanding of the past and gives the younger generation an opportunity to study subjects close to their hearts, events in which their grandparents and parents had participated, or to rediscover the places they had known since childhood. In order to obtain the expected results, the students need to be employed in the development of transdisciplinary projects, which will ensure that they understand and apply accurately the principles of academic research.
