Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the questions of international criminal justice, selective prosecution, double standards and truth. The social function of ad hoc international tribunals does not imply so much their decision about the gravest crimes during conflicts as the pronounced formation of a desirable narrative about those conflicts. Hence pleas, on the basis of which court decisions are made in all other cases.
