Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, humans are experiencing a multifaceted, multilevel carnivalization of teaching paradigms (as described in reference to Mikhail Bakhtin’s famous concept). In this context, carnivalization in education can be understood as “learning through dialogue” or “learning through play.” It is also a form of “learning upside down,” which entails suspending or questioning the so-called traditional order and methods of teaching. The paper will address the following issues: 1) How does/can the carnivalization of political science education manifest itself? 2) How does the understanding of the goals of political science education change in the context of carnivalization? 3) What opportunities and threats are associated with these phenomena?
