Summary/Abstract: Manuscript No. 267 of the National Library in Sofia, dating from the end of the 16th or the very beginning of the 17th century, comprises, inter alia, a compilation of the lives of the Nemanjić rulers. The text consists of selected episodes from King Milutin's military life, covering the time span from 1282 to 1313/1314 A.D. This Milutin's hagiography from Sofia is not azaenieu novelty, but it was never a subject of a special study. Đ. Sp. Radojičić stated that it is identical to the one printed in 1761 in the Rimnički Srbljak. According to Radojičić, the Rimnik text of Milutin's hagiography is made after his autobiography from Hilandar diploma. However, J. Radonjić has stated as early as 1895 that J. Radonjić quastened the authenticity of this Milutin's diploma, what is a stance later supported by S. Ćirković. Therefore, the question of how the Sofia text is related to the diploma remains open. Comparing the diploma with the Sofia variant and the Rimnik one brings up interesting conclusions: missing parts from the Sofia text (there are entire episodes which are present in both other texts). Besides material differences, there are also a few codicological ones. This study concludes respecting sections of Danilo's hagiography of King Milutin. The supplement presents the text of Milutin's hagiography from the No. 267 manuscript from Sofia National Library.
