Summary/Abstract: Russia’s aggression against Ukraine caused the largest population movements in Europe since World War II and immediately after its end. The number of refugees from this country has exceeded the number of those seeking legal protection and the possibility of entering the European Union during the refugee crisis since 2015. The article presents the dynamics of the inflow of war migrants from Ukraine to Poland, along with an indication of the most important conditions for their seeking refuge in our country. It contains information that is partly of a comparative nature, which allows for the assessment of Poland’s key role in the absorption of war migrants from Ukraine, especially in the initial phase of the war.
