Summary/Abstract: The lack of generational renewal and demographic aging represent crucial challenges for European agriculture. The CAP 2023-2027 acknowledges the central role of young farmers in developing a competitive and sustainable agri-food system. In this context, Italian Law No. 36/2024 aims to promote youth entrepreneurship in agriculture through an integrated approach designed to facilitate young people's access to and permanence in the sector. This paper analyses the main issues related to generational change at both European and national levels, highlighting the need for greater policy integration. It then examines the most recent Italian regulatory approach, assessing its effectiveness in relation to the national entrepreneurial structure and the objectives of the European Union.
