Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present selected findings from a broader analysis of empirical data collected during the research process. The study focused on three key components of family relationships-closeness, warmth, and directness-analyzed within the context of intergenerational bonds between pedagogy students and their grandparents. The primary objective was to assess the extent to which each of these components is developed in the respondents' relationships with their grandparents. The results presented constitute a part of a larger research project concerning the attitudes of pedagogy students toward their relationships with grandparents. The study was quantitative in nature and employed the diagnostic survey method, utilizing a self-constructed online questionnaire. The sample consisted of N = 162 pedagogy students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Bialystok. Given the division of pedagogical studies into various specializations, the following subgroups were identified within the variable "field of study": students of preschool and early childhood education, students of care and educational pedagogy, students of resocialization pedagogy, and students of special education. The analysis revealed varying levels of development across the three intergenerational bond components-closeness, warmth, and directness-in students' relationships with their grandparents. The results indicated that these components were most strongly developed among students from small and medium-sized towns, particularly those who lived with their grandparents and had daily contact. Closeness was reported as especially high among students of care and educational pedagogy. The highest levels of warmth in the grandchild-grandparent relationship were observed in the group of special education students, who also demonstrated a high degree of directness in these relationships.
