Summary/Abstract: The article presents the research results on the attitudes of male and female pedagogical students at the Pawel Wlodkowic University College in Płock towards the causes and consequences of climate change. The referred research was conducted using a survey method with original questionnaire. Detailed research problems included questions regarding the level of knowledge about climate change, emotional attitude to the changes taking place and the tendency to take action to limit the climate crisis and differentiation of the attitudes of the respondents by such independent variables as gender, age, and place of residence. Analysis of the results revealed that the majority of the surveyed female and male students exhibited receptive attitudes. Despite the awareness of the ongoing processes and their anthropogenic causes, the respondents' knowledge level was low. The respondents were also most often characterised by an ambivalent emotional attitude towards climate change. Most female and male students exhibited a moderate tendency to actively work to limit the crisis, which was included in a narrow spectrum of activities based mainly on somewhat outdated ecological education. A relationship between the level of knowledge of female and male students and involvement in pro-climate activities was confirmed.
