Writing School Compositions: an Opportunity to Develop Students’ Written Communication Skills

Summary/Abstract: The writing of school compositions is long and difficult, but necessary for students, and it has to be learned. The teachers, including Romanian Language and Literature teachers, achieve this aim by documenting themselves on didactic methodology and selecting the necessary didactic strategies in order to form the students’ general and specific competences. We hope that the article will prove to be of real benefit to fellow Romanian Language and Literature teachers, as it disseminates ideas from various sources concerning the organization of writing exercises. Examples of school composition topics set by the author are also provided.
