Ecological Education in a Transdisciplinary Context

Summary/Abstract: Transdisciplinarity involves approaching course contents from a unitary perspective of reality by applying methodologies coming from different angles, which are, however, always compatible. Merging experiences in a transdisciplinary context harnesses the new dimensions of education. Ecological education is included on the list of generic contents of transdisciplinary activities for primary education, which allows the teacher to help the students develop a sense of environmental responsibility, as well as the motivation and the skills that will enable them to participate in improving the state of the environment, while promoting the capacity to have a lifestyle compatible with the concept of sustainable development and action prospects.
