Summary/Abstract: Autonomy of will constitutes one of the fundamental principles of contract law and guarantees the freedom of the parties to establish legal relations according to their interests. However, this freedom is not absolute and in legal practice it is limited by several legal and economic factors. This article analyzes the limitations of autonomy of will in contractual relations, focusing on the types of contracts that reduce the parties' room for negotiation. Attention is paid to typical contracts, formal contracts and adhesion contracts, which in practice limit the contractual autonomy of the parties. Through the analysis of legal doctrine, civil legislation and case law, the article demonstrates that limitations of autonomy of will are necessary to guarantee contractual justice and balance between the parties.
