Summary/Abstract: Digitalization and the increasing deployment of artificial intelligence systems are profoundly reshaping work organization, particularly with regard to the configuration of working time. Process automation, algorithmic management of working hours and the expansion of remote and hybrid work models are redefining traditional temporal boundaries of work performance, fostering new forms of flexibility while also generating situations of permanent availability and intensified control. This evolving scenario raises significant challenges in the field of occupational risk prevention, especially concerning the emergence and intensification of psychosocial prevention, especially concerning the emergence and intensification of psychosocial, cognitive and organizational risks associated with hyperconnectivity, digital monitoring and automated decision-making. The relationship between working time, occupational health and workers’ well-being thus acquires renewed relevance, requiring the adaptation of traditional preventive instruments, risk assessment, preventive planning and health surveillance, to highly digitalized work environments. This research project provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on the reorganization of working time and its preventive implications. Its aim is to identify regulatory gaps, propose preventive intervention criteria and contribute to the development of organizational models that ensure effective protection of workers’ safety and health in the digital era
