Summary/Abstract: The article examines the achievements of the most recent civil codes, those of the beginning of the twenty-first century, in the regulation of stipulation infavour of a third party, by virtue of which a third party (beneficiary) acquiresa right or benefit from the agreement of the promisee and the promisor inSlovenia, Brazil, Estonia, the Draft Common Framework of Reference,Romania, Hungary, France (the reform of the General part of the Law ofObligations in 2016) and the most recent Civil and Commercial Code ofArgentina.
