Summary/Abstract: In my work, I present the creation of the Warsaw Pact (hereinafter: WF), the military bloc of the Eastern Bloc, its causes, structure, structure, operation and its role in international relations. In my view, there is little mention of the VSZ in the history books of public and higher education, as well as in the classrooms. Most of the time, only its formation, Hungary's unsuccessful attempt to leave and become neutral during the 1956 revolution and freedom fight, the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968, and then its liquidation in 1991 after the collapse of the Eastern Bloc are mentioned. This study analyzes in detail the military-political dependency relationship that membership in the military bloc meant for the member states. In light of this, I am looking for answers to the following questions: What was the VSZ really? What did the deed of foundation say? What was the difference between propaganda and the real goal when it was created? How was its internal structure structured, what forums did it have? Was it mandatory, and therefore all the countries of the Eastern Bloc joined the military organization? Was it possible to get out of it, and if so, did anyone succeed? What was the relationship between Yugoslavia, which was not committed but "following the socialist path", and China, the most important communist country in the Far East, with the WS? Who else was in contact with the military bloc? Did the role of the organization change during the Cold War period? If so, what influenced this? Was there exclusive Soviet dominance at all levels of the WS? Have the member states had joint military exercises? In addition to Czechoslovakia, did the alliance also take part in other military actions? When and how did it disband?
