Summary/Abstract: ”We call beauty that which is represented without concept as an object of a universal satisfaction.” (Kant, 1995, 52). We cannot find the interest in studying Beauty since the Antiquity, when it belonged to the divine, the intelligible, being considered ”the brightness” and ”sense” of the world with ”unequaled clarity”. It is ”the best of happiness” (Platon, 1993; 92). The entire Beauty of the human face was explained by the order and transcendental harmony, which can be understood only as an ”imitation of something contained in Reason.” (Hadot,1998; 70). Plotin represents another stage in the meaning of Beauty, that is the Middle Ages, which give ”the simplicty of the eye” the part of according the divine in the human with the ”divine in the universe”. Loving Beauty, taken down from the throne of the absolute Idea, remains an eternal delusion considered secondary by the modern man tempted by deceptive, material forces more estranged from the divine Spirit and opened to the meaning of the concrete beauty. This ”journey” (Noica) of the Idea of Beauty will take into account the approaches of Platon, Plotin and Kant.
