Summary/Abstract: In the article the author tries to highlight the main features of solving the Transylvanian issue in the relations between Hungary and Romania in the middle of the 40th of the XX century. Special attention is paid to the external factor, including the position and actions of the USSR concerning the solving of the regional conflict.
