Summary/Abstract: This study is a scale development study to aimed at measuring the moral attitudes of youth. Within the scope of the study, a total of 707 high school seniors were surveyed: 380 for Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and 327 for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The Youth Moral Attitude Scale (YMAS) form, which was developed in this study, and the Intrinsic Religious Motivation Scale for criterion validity were used in the data collection phase. Following evaluations by field experts, educational specialists, and a linguist, an EFA was conducted on 32 items, one of which was a control question. CFA was conducted to test the 3-factor, 13-item structure obtained at this stage. By meeting the fit criteria, the scale preserved its three-dimensional structure. The Youth Moral Attitude Scale has three factors: Respect, Moderation, and Justness, and consists of 13 items. The total explained variance of the scale was found to be 52,512%. The scale's KMO value is ,831; the Bartlett Test of Sphericity value is 1192,109. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient is ,860; the Split-Half coefficient is ,828. The correlation coefficient between the Intrinsic Religious Motivation Scale and the Youth Moral Attitude Scale is ,294, and there is a significant relationship between the two scales (p<,01). The independent samples t-test applied to the 27% lower and upper groups to determine the discrimination levels of the scale items ranged between -7,819 and -13,646 and was found to be statistically significant (p<,01). The satisfactory level of model fit indices indicates that the structure obtained as a result of CFA is consistent with the theoretical foundations and is statistically supported. Therefore, the findings reveal that the Youth Moral Attitude Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool.
