Summary/Abstract: The NEMO European Museum Conference was held in Horsens, Denmark, from October 26-28, 2025, on the following topic: 'Who cares? Museums, wellbeing, and resilience' While the focus issues speak for themselves, it may be worth emphasizing that museums are not only seeking their own path but also contributing with their mission to shaping a livable environment, humanizing our communities, sharing knowledge, and developing skills and abilities alike (Network of Museum Organisations, 2025). In this regard, the diversity of museum lifelong learning conveys that the effectiveness and need-oriented nature of learning are interconnected with intergenerational and intercultural contexts, which are further compounded by digital and technological challenges, the COVID pandemic, as well as difficulties arising from globalization and crises. Learning development professionals need to draw attention to the fact that social integration and inclusion can only be successful for the individual if continuous, lifelong learning strengthens and renews both basic skills and so-called 'soft and core skills,' in the development of which museums play a significant role (World Economic Forum, 2025).The success of this process depends on how effective methods supporting learning participation contribute to transformative learning experiences that are based on experience and collaboration within a reflective environment. Since the factors mentioned above are increasingly becoming key issues, due to the economic, social, and environmental implications of knowledge sharing, both higher education and museums are developing as collaborative, partnership-based research institutions that primarily seek answers to practice-oriented questions and challenges.
