INSTITUTIONAL HELP FOR VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE IN SOCIAL FAMILY ENVIRONMENTS

Summary/Abstract: All manifestations of violence in the social environment, and especially in the family environment, are becoming a contemporary social problem. Long-term phenomena of violence can be observed in the negative, direct behaviour of victims, as well as in the form of emotional, social and health disorders, which may also manifest as delayed psychosocial pathologies. In the local environment, many institutions operate whose task is to diagnose, intervene in and prevent violence, particularly in the family environment. These institutions have the knowledge, skills, competences and resources to effectively help victims of violence and their perpetrators. However, they operate in isolation and separately from other entities active in this field.
