THE "PERFECT STATE, OR THE BEST OF ALL POSSIBLE STATES" PROJECT AS A CONTRIBUTION TO POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY

Summary/Abstract: The presented text constitutes a kind of extended lesson scenario - already used successfully many times in the author's teaching practice - for conducting classes for students in the field of philosophical education broadly understood. The material combines an exercise form (students' own work; creating a project; discussion) with a lecture form (presentation of the views of, among others, Plato, Aristotle, Thomas More, Tommaso Campanella and John Rawls; analysis of selected excerpts from philosophical texts).
