Summary/Abstract: The article indicates how the crisis management of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) contributes to strengthening Poland's security through cooperation with the Government Centre for Security (RCB). Poland's entry into NATO in 1999 made it possible to obtain security guarantees for the state, primarily thanks to Article 5 of the Washington Treaty. Participation in the structures of the largest political-defence alliance also entails a series of obligations related to building a strong and responsive army, which is particularly important in connection with the ongoing war in Ukraine. The authors characterised NATO crisis management, pointing out its implications for Poland as a member of the Alliance, and extensively discussed cooperation between the organisation's structures and the Government Centre for Security. Crisis management carried out by NATO includes not only collective defence but also crisis response operations.
