Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on explaining the historical approach to evidence-based management in the context of organisational memory, taking resentment into account. The authors treat this topic as a discursive interpretation. Analysing the literature related to the topic, they present an analogy between evidence-based management and management that turns towards the past in the context of the present. They call their proposal "historical remembering", which means opening up to practitioners' reflections and questions inspired by the field of medicine. The figure of Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis, a Hungarian physician and precursor of evidence-based medicine, is presented to illustrate that neglecting scientific evidence in management can lead to a double loop of forgetting related to resentment.
