Summary/Abstract: The topic is broad and rather difficult to resolve, as it combines three broad, open and complex concepts: organised crime, peace, and the rule of law. The term organised crime is broad and covers a wide range of criminal activities: trafficking in human beings (for prostitution, forced prostitution or forced labour), migration, smuggling of migrants, drug trafficking, trafficking in illegal goods, counterfeiting of goods, trafficking in cultural property, arms trafficking, armed robbery, and money laundering. There are also other, less widespread forms, such as piracy, as well as newer forms: cybercrime and environmental crime (forms such as wildlife trafficking, illegal logging or mining, illegal fishing, and illegal waste trafficking, among others).
